Meet the Administrators

Dear VSY Montessori Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am honored to welcome both our returning families and those joining the Virginia Shuman Young Montessori community for the first time. We are excited to begin another year of discovery, growth, and achievement together.

This year's theme, Passport to Success, celebrates the exciting journey of learning that every child embarks upon each day. At VSY Montessori, our classrooms are filled with opportunities for students to explore new ideas, develop independence, embrace challenges, and discover their unique talents. Just as every passport represents new destinations and experiences, each school day provides another opportunity for our students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we will inspire every child to embrace A Journey of Learning, A Lifetime of Success.

Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging Montessori environment where every student is challenged to reach their fullest potential. Through hands-on learning, collaboration, critical thinking, and respect for one another, we will continue to build a community where curiosity thrives and excellence is celebrated.

Family partnerships remain an essential part of our success. We encourage you to take an active role in your child's education by attending school events, participating in parent trainings, volunteering, joining our PTA and School Advisory Council, and maintaining open communication with your child's teacher. Your involvement strengthens our school community and reinforces the importance of education for our children.

Throughout the year, I will continue sharing the wonderful things happening at VSY Montessori through our weekly newsletters, school website, and social media. I invite you to follow along as we celebrate student accomplishments, classroom learning, and the many memorable moments that make our school such a special place.

As we begin this new school year, let us work together to ensure every child feels welcomed, valued, supported, and inspired to succeed. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. I look forward to partnering with you as we embark on another incredible journey.
